Today (Friday 6/1) we rode from Norwalk, NJ to Tabernacle, NJ. It was 75 miles of riding and it felt great! This morning was cool and overcast, not riding in the heat was so enjoyable! After the first 25 miles or so we got out of the city and onto some country roads. There was still traffic but that's ok as long as there is a big shoulder.
The second half of the day some of the stronger riders and I started a pace line. We averaged like 23 miles an hour for seemed like forever. I think each of us wanted to slow down, but was to going to be the one to say it. I told myself that after keeping up for so long that I was not going to get dropped at the end, so I put my head down and kept pedaling. It was exhilarating!
This weekend we are staying in Tabernacle, NJ with host families. A real shower and a real bed are a welcomed site!!
Tomorrow we are building and Sunday we are going into Philly for a free day!!
